My name is Cole Carr. I’m a 29-year-old filmmaker based in the United States, and my passion has always been story.

I’m drawn to the stories that live beneath the surface—the ones shaped by long miles, difficult moments, sacrifice, uncertainty, and the decision to keep moving forward. That’s what led me to create Waymark.

A waymark is a marker along a journey. It shows you where you’ve been, points you toward where you’re going, and becomes a small part of the path that got you there.

I believe our lives are filled with those same kinds of marks. The challenges we face, the people we meet, the risks we take, the failures, the victories, and all the moments in between leave something behind. Every journey leaves a mark.

Through Waymark, I create documentary films that go beyond the surface to find those moments. I want to understand not only what someone is pursuing, but why they’re pursuing it—and what the journey is doing to them along the way.

These are stories of endurance, pursuit, purpose, and the people willing to keep going when the path gets difficult.
